Welcome to Zindiya

Experience the Soul of India in the Heart of Moseley

Welcome to Zindiya, one of Moseley’s most vibrant and much-loved independent restaurants, where every visit is a celebration of the sights, sounds and flavours of India’s bustling street markets.

Zindiya was founded by husband-and-wife team Ajay and Shivani Kenth, who dreamed of creating the restaurant for more than fifteen years before opening its doors in the heart of the community where they both grew up—Moseley. Their vision was to recreate the atmosphere they had experienced while travelling through India, bringing the colour, energy and authenticity of the country’s famous street food culture to Birmingham. The restaurant’s name combines the Hindi word “Zindagi” (meaning life) with the name of their daughter Diya (meaning light), making Zindiya a deeply personal family business.

Step inside and you’ll immediately feel transported to the lively streets of Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. The colourful décor, hand-painted artwork, music and welcoming atmosphere have all been carefully designed to immerse guests in the spirit of India, while remaining true to the creative character of Moseley.

A New Taste of Persia Arrives in Moseley

Restaurant Touring Company is delighted to welcome you to Tehran Restaurant, one of the newest additions to Moseley’s vibrant dining scene.

Located on Alcester Road, Tehran Restaurant brings the rich culinary traditions of Iran to the heart of Birmingham, offering guests an authentic taste of Persian hospitality in elegant and welcoming surroundings. Tehran Restaurant

Behind the restaurant are Lukman and Hassan, whose vision is to introduce the flavours, warmth and generosity of Persian dining to the local community. As newcomers to the Moseley food scene, they have created a restaurant where family, friends and neighbours can come together to enjoy freshly prepared food inspired by centuries of Persian culinary tradition.

For Lukman and Hassan, Tehran Restaurant is about much more than serving great food. Their ambition is to create a place where guests experience the famous Persian tradition of hospitality—where everyone is welcomed like family and every meal is an opportunity to share stories, laughter and friendship.

Restaurant Touring Company is delighted to welcome you to The Cuban Embassy, one of Moseley’s most distinctive independent venues, where the vibrant spirit of Cuba comes alive through exceptional cocktails, delicious food, live music and warm hospitality.

Behind this unique concept is Nick Rendall, whose passion for Cuba, premium rum, live music and bringing people together inspired the creation of The Cuban Embassy.

Housed within the beautifully restored former Bull’s Head building on St Mary’s Row, The Cuban Embassy has become a much-loved part of Moseley’s social and cultural scene. Since opening its doors in 2015, the venue has transformed an historic Birmingham landmark into an authentic Latin-inspired destination, celebrating the colours, rhythms and flavours of Havana

Welcome to Greek Aura

A Taste of Greece in the Heart of Moseley

Restaurant Touring Company is delighted to welcome you to Greek Aura, a family-run restaurant that brings the warmth, flavours and hospitality of Greece to the heart of Moseley.

Situated on Alcester Road, Greek Aura was founded by Admir (known as Miri) Cela and his wife Ola, whose shared dream was to create a restaurant that captures the authentic spirit of Greek family dining. Miri was born and raised on the beautiful island of Rhodes, where his love of Greek food and hospitality began. Before opening Greek Aura, he spent several years working in Greek restaurants, gaining experience as both a restaurant manager and chef, while Ola brings her business expertise to the day-to-day running of the restaurant. Together, they have created a welcoming neighbourhood restaurant inspired by the food, traditions and generosity of their homeland.

Welcome to Chakana

Bringing the Spirit of Peru to Moseley

Restaurant Touring Company is delighted to welcome you to Chakana, one of Moseley’s most distinctive independent restaurants and a true celebration of modern Peruvian cuisine.

Located in a beautifully restored former bank on Alcester Road, Chakana was founded by Michelin-starred Peruvian chef Robert Ortiz and business partner Stephen Dickinson, who share a passion for introducing the vibrant flavours and traditions of Peru to Birmingham. Together, they have created a restaurant that combines world-class cooking with a warm, relaxed neighbourhood atmosphere.

The name “Chakana” comes from the ancient Andean Cross, an important symbol in Peruvian culture representing harmony, balance and the connection between people, nature and the world around them. It perfectly reflects the restaurant’s philosophy of bringing people together through exceptional food and hospitality.

Johnson The driving force behind The Plough is Adam Johnson, who took over the venue in 2003 with a vision of creating a welcoming neighbourhood destination built around great food, drink and community. The Plough’s welcoming team and vibrant atmosphere make it the perfect place to begin — or continue — a culinary journey through Harborne.

Cuubo

Modern Cooking, Local Passion
Cuubo is an intimate neighbourhood bistro on Harborne High Street, created by chef-owner Dan Sweet. Known for his ingredient-led approach to cooking, Dan brings together modern British flavours with subtle Italian influences, focusing on seasonal produce and carefully crafted dishes.
Despite being one of Harborne’s newer restaurants, Cuubo has quickly gained recognition in Birmingham’s dining scene for its thoughtful menus and relaxed yet refined atmosphere.

At the heart of Henry Wong is owner Zi, whose passion for hospitality and attention to detail

Meet the Owner – Joson

At the heart of El Buen Gusto is co-founder Joson, a passionate and driven hospitality professional with a strong academic background in Hotel and Hospitality Management.

Having gained valuable experience across a range of roles within the food and hospitality sector, Joson developed a deep understanding of both the culinary and operational aspects of running a successful restaurant. His passion for cooking and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences led him to take the entrepreneurial step of co-founding El Buen Gusto alongside three friends.

As a co-owner and operator, Joson has played a key role in building the restaurant into a thriving and respected part of Harborne’s dining scene, combining his professional expertise with a genuine passion for hospitality.
